1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the FreshLimePay self-hosted software (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

2. Overview of the Service

FreshLimePay provides self-hosted payment integration software that enables makers, developers, and small businesses to accept payments through PayPal and Stripe. You host the software on your own server and connect your PayPal or Stripe account using your own API credentials. FreshLimePay never stores, transmits, or has access to your credentials or customer financial data.

3. Payment Processing

All payment processing occurs directly through your connected PayPal or Stripe account. FreshLimePay acts solely as a local interface to their APIs and does not participate in the movement of funds. You are responsible for:

• Configuring your PayPal and/or Stripe accounts correctly.
• Ensuring your API credentials are valid and kept secure.
• Complying with PayPal and Stripe policies, terms, and restrictions.
• Handling disputes, refunds, chargebacks, and regulatory obligations.

4. Subscription & Licensing Fees

FreshLimePay requires a paid subscription to access updates, security improvements, and support. FreshLimePay does not charge per-transaction fees. All processing fees are set and charged by PayPal or Stripe.

5. Merchant Responsibilities

• Maintain valid PayPal and/or Stripe accounts in good standing.
• Securely store and protect API credentials used in your self-hosted environment.
• Ensure compliance with all local laws, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with PayPal and Stripe Acceptable Use Policies.
• Operate the software only for your own business; redistribution is prohibited.
• Maintain a secure hosting environment to protect customer data and prevent unauthorized access.

6. Limitation of Liability

Because FreshLimePay is self-hosted, you are solely responsible for your server, configuration, and security. FreshLimePay provides the software “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Any PayPal or Stripe transaction issues or policy violations.
• Security breaches, misconfigurations, or data loss on your server.
• Losses, chargebacks, disputes, mispayments, or regulatory penalties.
• Downtime caused by your hosting provider or infrastructure.

7. Prohibited Uses

• Illegal or fraudulent activities, including money laundering.
• Any use prohibited by PayPal or Stripe’s Acceptable Use Policies.
• Reverse engineering, copying, reselling, or sublicensing FreshLimePay.
• Bundling FreshLimePay into commercial SaaS platforms without permission.

FreshLimePay may revoke your license for violating these terms or engaging in abusive or unlawful activity.

8. Termination

FreshLimePay may terminate a license or subscription at its discretion for violations of these terms. Termination has no impact on PayPal or Stripe transactions, as they remain fully under your control.

9. Modifications

FreshLimePay may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updates take effect once published. Continued use of the software constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
