1. Acceptance of Terms

By using FreshLimePay software (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the software.

2. Overview of the Service

FreshLimePay provides self-hosted software that enables makers, developers, and small businesses to accept PayPal payments. Merchants install FreshLimePay on their own server and connect it directly to their PayPal account using their client ID and secret. FreshLimePay does not hold, process, or transfer customer funds.

3. Payment Processing

All payments are processed directly through the merchant’s PayPal account. FreshLimePay software facilitates creating payment buttons, subscriptions, and reporting but never receives or holds customer funds. Merchants are responsible for their PayPal account setup and compliance with PayPal’s policies.

4. Subscription Fees

Merchants pay a subscription fee to use FreshLimePay software. No per-transaction fees are charged by FreshLimePay. The subscription covers software updates, support, and new features. All PayPal processing fees are handled by PayPal according to their standard rates.

5. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are fully responsible for:

• PayPal account setup, including obtaining API credentials.
• Compliance with all applicable laws, taxes, and regulations.
• Data security and protection of customer information.
• Ensuring their use of the software complies with PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy.
• Not reselling, sublicensing, or integrating FreshLimePay into third-party software for redistribution purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

FreshLimePay provides software only and does not hold funds or act as a financial institution. FreshLimePay is not responsible for any losses, fees, or issues arising from PayPal transactions, subscription processing, or merchant compliance. The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

7. Prohibited Uses

• Merchants may not use FreshLimePay for illegal activities, money laundering, gambling, or any prohibited uses under PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy.
• Merchants may not copy, resell, redistribute, or sublicense FreshLimePay software. The software is licensed solely for the merchant’s own business use.
• Merchants may not integrate FreshLimePay into or distribute it with graphic design, text/layout, or similar third-party software in any manner that circumvents the intended use of FreshLimePay.

FreshLimePay reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for merchants engaged in suspicious, unlawful, or prohibited behavior.

8. Termination

FreshLimePay reserves the right to terminate a merchant’s license or subscription at its discretion, including for suspected fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms. Termination does not affect any PayPal transactions, which are under the sole control of the merchant.

9. Modifications

FreshLimePay may modify or update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the software after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The latest version will always be available on our website.
